Work from Home

We are in the midst of a global pandemic and the biggest challenge faced by us nowadays is to keep ourselves together. For months we have been confined to the four walls of our homes and things don’t seem to be getting any cosier.

Maintaining our health has become a struggle. And there is a kind of lethargy that has engulfed our existence. We aren’t prioritizing any work until the last minute. This has posed a threat to our overall productivity.

Most of us have switched to “work-from-home” culture. Today in this blog I shall like to discuss the question, “Has the WFH culture taken away discipline from our lives?”

Before the pandemic, everything was timed. Time had a value. We’d wake up early in the morning with a prepared schedule for the day. 9 to 5 was the job time and then the rest of hours were for family and self-care. But, as soon as WFH started, our days are not scheduled. We are either too busy throughout the day with increased screen time or too free to do nothing. It seems like time has lost its value until the minute when the boss calls to check up on the progress of the target completion. We have started to lose professionalism from our lives. The balance between personal and professional lives has started to melt down.

It never occurred to us before but the comfort of home is comfortable only when after a day at your job you come back home in the evening.
